A gorgeous NT bloodwood with really interesting sap lines and colour variations in the grain, there is flecks of fiddleback and patches of red and beige and has a lovely flared bell shape. This didgeridoo would suit a solo player who wants something quite traditional with the wax mouthpiece. it would be an ideal first didge to learn on, its got really easy pressure and the wax mouthpiece makes it easy to adjust mouthpiece size for ease of learning. The key of this didge is sitting just sharp of D sharp so its not tuned to a concert pitch, which is why it would suit best as a solo player or someone playing with percussion. its a pity the key settled a little high, it was tuned to D sharp when i made it and it plays fantastic! sometimes when they settle the wood in its own life just wants to move a little and thus the key has come up a touch. i play quite hard and tight lipped, so for a beginner player who is playing with les tension in their lips it would probably sit in perfect D sharp, but for an experianced player it would play a touch above D sharp, thus why this stick is on sale and a little cheaper in price. its a bargain though at $1190 !! were it to be perfectly tuned it would be an extra $400 in price. A great purchase if your looking for a high quality didgeridoo at a bargain price to get started on!
